Football Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System [Week 18]

Hello all,

It’s been a successful week and it’s all been about the number seven.

The 7/2 4fold landed on Wednesday night thanks to Liverpool’s 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow, giving us a return of, yep, you guessed it, 7pts!

With 1.5pts staked on that and 1pt staked on the 15/2 BTTS 4fold, which missed out by just two goals, we’re up 4.5pts for the week.

After the three results went our way on Tuesday night we were left just needing a Liverpool win on Wednesday and even at 3-0 I was nervous after their previous Champions League capitulation against Sevilla.

But it was all good and I’m going into the weekend with some positivity…

Well, I was until I saw the 3pm Premier League fixtures. You can make a case for win, lose or draw – that triad reminds me of Bob Mills, one for the older reader there – in any of them.

Having said that, I’m putting some faith in Tottenham. Surely they have to get back to winning ways after a poor run? Probably best not to answer that one.

Their reserves showed they can do it on a wet Wednesday night at Wembley in midweek with a win over Apoel Nicosia, and their big guns, the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Hugo Lloris have had a nice rest, so I’m thinking they’ll come out of the blocks quickly.

As I always say, I hate backing my own team, Villa, but we’ve been in great form of late even after losing John Terry and Jonathan Kodjia to injury. Millwall haven’t won away in the League all season so I fancy three points.

Wolves are also firing in the Championship, as they have been all season, and League One table toppers Wigan should make light work of Fleetwood at home, while Monaco should do the same against Troyes.

Staying in France, if PSG win by more than one goal against lacklustre Lille on Saturday then the Mixed Multiple will run over to Sunday’s games where I’m hoping Liverpool, Nantes and Marseille can fend off Everton, Nice and St. Etienne.

One of the most exciting games on Saturday could well be in League Two where it’s first against second with Luton entertaining Notts County.

While the Hatters have been banging in the goals lately, I wouldn’t write off the Magpies so have picked that one as part of the BTTS 4fold, which landed last Saturday at 11/2.

Talking of goals, I’ve brought back the Over 2.5 goals acca this week because when I was researching the BTTS 4fold a number of the games looked to have some goals in them, so fingers crossed it will hit the ground running on its comeback.

I’m tempted with a little poke at the Win 5fold and Mixed Multiple combined for a 17/1 9fold (Bwin – bet HERE). We’ve had a profitable week so far so I’m chucking 0.3pts at it. It’s just a bit of fun after all!

There are some huge games coming from the north of England on Sunday with both Merseyside and Manchester derbies in action. I have a hat-trick of selections in beach of my Liverpool v Everton, and Man United v Man City Big Match Previews.

Last week’s Big Match Preview tips featured a 33/10 win as I backed Jesse Lingard FGS e/w at 10/1 when Man United faced Arsenal in what turned out to be the game of the season so far.

I’d take a Bet of the Season win with the 136/1 Lucas Joao coming in this week. Good luck!
