The Set Odds’ Betting System: Post-Weekend Review [Week 29]

Hello all,

It was a mixed bag of a weekend for us, but we did land two winners at 9/2 to take my 2018 successes to a respectable 16/1, 15/2, 11/2, 9/2, 9/2, 4/1, 14/5, and 7/4 in total.

The first 9/2 weekend winner – a Draw at HT, Spurs at FT bet – was tipped up in the Spurs v Arsenal Big Match Preview and executed to perfection by Tottenham against their North London rivals, thanks to one of their own/ ex-Arsenal youth player Harry Kane.

The second 9/2 winner came courtesy of my FGS tip of Derby’s Matej Vydra to net the opener in their home game against Norwich.

He obliged and then Norwich equalised which was great news for me personally as a Villa fan – as was our comfortable 2-0 win over the Blues, our seventh League victory in a row, which lifted us to second.

I advised backing us each-way for the Championship a few times in past Post-Weekend Reviews and our chances of reaching the top three have increased dramatically since, so hopefully those of you who did will be banking place money come the end of the campaign.

Derby’s draw would’ve meant the Win 5fold could’ve still landed, but with their selection voided because I backed them Draw No Bet. However, both Blackburn and Bristol City ended those hopes.

Blackburn were 2-0 down at half-time against Oldham and despite coming back to 2-2, couldn’t find a winner.

But if they had I would’ve been quite gutted as Bristol City went from 3-0 up at half-time against Sunderland to 3-3 by full-time, which would’ve scuppered the 17/2 bet anyway, so it was all academic.

The Both Teams to Score Acca failed on a few counts, and Wycombe and Mansfield had off-days for the Lucas Joao, which was a real shame after going so close to nailing it a few times recently.

There is a bonus column to come this week with the return of the Champions League – and there is also a full League One and League Two fixture list for us to pile our pounds into on Tuesday.

Before that, the Premier League has one more fixture to play out for this gameweek – Chelsea v West Brom on Monday night.

After re-instating him to my fantasy football team and now axing him again, Eden Hazard is bound to net first for Chelsea – I’m putting 1pt on at 15/4 with Bet365 (bet HERE).

The Set Odds’ Betting System total profit/loss 2017/18 = -95.15pts
