Tottenham v Arsenal Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ Big Match Preview

Tottenham have been above and beyond Arsenal in recent years, but there is only four points between the two North London rivals now – and the Gunners have called in the cavalry.

While they lost their best player in Alexis Sanchez in January, replacing him with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has gone down well, as has the signing of his former Borussia Dortmund team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

They linked up well against Everton last weekend but the Toffees are poor and Arsenal have been shocking away from home this season, winning just three in 13 in the League, while Spurs have been solid at home (Wembley), losing just one Premier League match.

Team News

New Spurs signing Lucas Moura is in contention to play against Arsenal but is more likely to be on the bench than in the starting 11.

Toby Alderweireld, Harry Winks and Danny Rose all returned in the midweek game against Newport, for which Mauricio Pochettino made 10 changes.

Peter Cech is a big doubt for the Gunners with Arsene Wenger admitting he is “not sure” if the stopper will make the game after he picked up a calf injury against Everton last weekend.

Nacho Monreal has recovered from illness and Danny Welbeck could make the squad.

Betting Focus

With Spurs’ home dominance topped off last week with a really comfortable 2-0 win over Man United, Arsenal could be in real trouble here.

The new recruits, and tying Mesut Ozil up to a new contract, have been good moves by the looks of it but Tottenham always get up for this one and Harry Kane especially.

I was slightly surprised to see Spurs still at odds-against for the straight win, and I am going to take full advantage of it at 21/20.

Arsenal will no doubt try to keep it tight and I really like the look of the game being a draw at half-time and Spurs nicking it by the end at 9/2.

I’m going to continue my Spurs love-in in the FGS market. Kane is the obvious shout and at 3/1 that’s probably about right.

But Christian Eriksen cannot be ignored either and I like the look of his 9/1 price each-way at unlimited places for a third of the odds. He did the business in a matter of seconds against United, so more of the same would be most welcome!
