The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System: Post-Weekend Review [Week 31]

Hi all,

We finished the weekend on a high with Willian the Brazilian continuing his rich vein of form by netting the first goal for Chelsea at Man United to land my 10/1 FGS tip from my Big Match Preview.

Sadly, the League Cup Final didn’t go our way with Kevin De Bruyne having an uncharacteristic quiet day and the HT Draw Man City at FT bet missed out after City took the lead against an average Arsenal side in the first half.

The Saturday accas went down with a bit of a fight – but no thanks to poor performances by League Two high flyers Luton and Wycombe.

Despite that, 1.35pts of profit for the week was already guaranteed thanks to Tuesday night’s 11/2 winner.

It’s not quite a 431/1 winner but profit is profit at the end of the day, so I cannot complain.

While Arsenal will not doubt want to forget the League Cup Final quite quickly, they will have be reminded on Thursday night when their victorious opponents Man City rock up at the Emirates with their winners medals hanging around their necks for a Premier League clash.

Hopefully for Gunners’ fans sake, Arsenal actually turn up to this game. There will be a Big Match Preview on the way later this week.

After our recent big winner a couple of Tuesdays ago, we’ve got a few points to play with so I may look to resurrect a few markets for The 4-4-2 Betting System which were close to doing the business earlier in the season.

I’ll have a look at the fixtures on Thursday and make a decision but don’t be surprised to see one or two make a comeback!

While the Lucas Joao bet wasn’t to be on Saturday, I went to see Lucas in the flesh (that sounds a lot stranger than it should do).

I was in Sheffield to watch the mighty Villa take on Sheffield Wednesday and it looked as though Lucas was going to come back to haunt me when he put the Owls 2-1 up on the stroke of half-time.

But somehow we out-Lucased Lucas and made a comeback to win 4-2 with two late goals after a fairy average performance.

Cardiff are hanging in there in second spot in the Championship but the Bluebirds need to watch their backs.

As always, check The Set Odds Twitter for any tips during the week. After the Arsenal v Man City Big Match Preview later this week, I’ll be back with The 4-4-2 Betting System tips, as usual, on Thursday.

The Set Odds’ Betting System profit/loss 2017/18 = +123.25pts
