Manchester United v Chelsea Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ Big Match Preview

This Man United against Chelsea match always has the makings of a fiery affair but there is added spice this year following Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte‘s public war of words earlier in the season.

There will be a keen eye on the tunnel, but hopefully the best action takes place on the pitch as this game is the prelude to the League Cup Final between Arsenal and Man City.

Team News

Ander Herrera will be out for at least a few weeks after picking up an injury against Sevilla in midweek.

Eric Bailly could make his first start since United last met Chelsea on November 5th, but Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Marouane Fellaini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are all expected to miss out.

David Luiz, Tiémoué Bakayoko and Ross Barkley are all out for Chelsea, but they don’t have any other fresh injury concerns.

Betting Focus

Both sides have been blowing hot and cold of late, making this a really tough fixture to call, but in terms of value I’m going to opt for Chelsea Draw No Bet at 13/8.

On their day Chelsea are a match for anyone, as they showed against Barcelona in midweek, with a tight defence and the brilliance of Eden Hazard and Willian.

The Brazilian has been on fire recently and I like the look of him at 10/1 each-way at unlimited prices to score first.

David De Gea saved United once again in midweek and I really fancy the 13/1 odds on him being named Man of the Match in this one.
