Man City v Tottenham Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ Big Match Preview and Team News

Man City are steaming their way through the Premier League this season, so much so the title could be wrapped up in record time if they keep going.

One team who might be able to provide somewhat of a stumbling block is Spurs, who are unbeaten in their last four League games against City, winning three of them.

It’s a tough ask even for Harry Kane and co, though!

Team News

Defenders Vincent Kompany, John Stones and Benjamin Mendy will all miss out for City, but Leroy Sane and former Spurs full-back Kyle Walker should return after they were rested in midweek.

Spurs will be without the injured Toby Alderweireld and Victor Wanyama, and the suspended Davinson Sanchez for their trip to Manchester.

Betting Focus

These Big Match Previews are often tough to pick out a winner but I can’t see Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs getting anything at the Etihad this time around.

But, of course, City are odds-on to win it so for a bit of value I fancy draw at HT, City at FT at 7/2.

Pep Guardiola’s men have improved a fair bit at the back this season but I can still see Spurs scoring, so 8/1 for the home side to win 2-1 appeals to me.

I was really tempted to get on the 9/1 for 1-1 because there have been a few occasions where City have struggled to break teams down at home this season, but I’m sticking with them to win the game, particularly with Spurs’ defensive woes.

David Silva has been on fire with four goals in his last three games. Conveniently, he started hitting the back of the net as soon as I removed him from my fantasy football team – about the same time Mo Salah stopped scoring bucket loads. I put Salah in, of course.

I’m refusing to transfer Silva back in so this means he’ll probably get on the scoresheet once again on Saturday, so I’m on him at a HUGE 12/1 each-way with Bet365 at unlimited places.
