Juve have responded to a defeat at Inter by winning their last three without conceding to make it 18 points from a possible 21 and give them a four point lead at the top of the table already as they bid for a sixth consecutive Scudetto. Udinese, meanwhile, are down in 16th having lost three of their last four and they’re unlikely to add to their tally of seven points here.
Juve have won their last 19 home games whilst conceding just five goals and they’ve also led at the break in their last nine at the Juventus Stadium. When hosting bottom-six teams they’re W15-D2-L1 since 2013/14 as they led at the break in 15 of these games and conceded just five goals, while scoring an average of 2.7 themselves.
Udinese stunned Juve with a 1-0 win in this fixture on the opening day of last season, but we don’t think there’ll be a repeat here. That was one of only five away wins for Udinese since the start of last season and they’ve now lost six of their last nine on the road and failed to score in half of their last eight. They’ve lost nine of their 11 trips to top-five sides since the start of 2014/15 and conceded exactly three goals in five of these games, while they also failed to score in five. With Dybala and Higuain in excellent form for the champions, we’re backing them to cover the -2 handicap and we’re also going to back the 3-0 correct score at 6.5.
