Having won three games on the bounce including against Juve, Inter have stumbled in the last couple of weeks as they could only manage a draw at home to Bologna, while they were beaten 2-1 at Roma to drop down to 10th. That’s only one spot above promoted Cagliari, who have won three of their last four, though each of those victories came at home and they’ve lost all three of their road games this term.
Inter’s home record is W14-D4-L4 since the start of last season but though they’ve won eight of their last 11 at the San Siro, they’ve managed just two clean sheets in that time. When hosting bottom-half teams they’re W8-D3-L1 since the start of last season but again both teams scored in the last eight of these games as I Nerazzurri have struggled defensively.
Since Cagliari have managed to net in all their games so far this season with the exception of their visit to the Juventus Stadium, we expect them to get on the scoresheet here. However, with Inter in excellent form at home, thanks largely to the form of Icardi who has scored six goals already this term, we’re backing Inter to win and Both Teams to Score, with the 3-1 correct score a tempting 10.0 shot.
Recommendation: Inter to Win and Both Teams to Score at 2.80
