West Ham vs Arsenal

5.30pm – 03.12.16

Both these sides were knocked out of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night with West Ham losing at Old Trafford and Arsenal at home to Southampton. The defeat ended an unbeaten run of 19 matches for the Gunners but it’s been another tricky November where they’ve won just two of six matches in all competitions. They’re still unbeaten on the road though, winning four of six in the top flight.

West Ham have gone W2-D2-L2 in their new home so far but they’re yet to welcome a top-six side. Five of these games were level at the break as they’ve struggled for goals, only netting more than once in their 2-4 defeat to Watford. Last season they lost just one of their six home matches against top-six clubs, but with Diafra Sakho getting injured one match after his return they are again lacking in fire-power up front and may struggle to perform as well against the top sides.

The Hammers have proven more difficult to break down in recent weeks, with six of their last seven seeing fewer than three strikes, while they’ve not trailed at the break in any of these. Six of Arsenal’s last nine road games have been level at the break but with Wenger’s big guns returning to the side from mid-week, we’ll back them to get the business done in the second-half.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 Goals at 1.65
