Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City

2.15pm – 02.10.16 – White Hart Lane

A top of the table clash with the only two sides that remain unbeaten in the Premier League thus far. Spurs did the double over City last season but had previously had little success against the Citizens, losing eight of nine. It’s a fixture with a rich history in goals – nine of the last 10 have seen at least three and seven have had four or more – so it’s hardly a surprise to see over 2.5 goals as short as 1.7.

City were denied victory for the first time this season in a 3-3 draw with Celtic mid-week. In the league though it’s six in a row with each encounter having three or more goals as nobody’s been able to stop them scoring at least twice. They’ll certainly be tested against a Spurs side that hold the best defensive record in the league, with none of their home matches seeing more than two strikes.

The Citizens win at Old Trafford was their first triumph on the road against a top-six side since their title winning 2013/14 season. Meanwhile, Spurs’ only home defeat in their last 11 came against Southampton when they’d run out of steam towards the end of last season.

Without De Bruyne, a lot will rest on the shoulders of Sergio Aguero who has 11 goals in eight in all competitions. The Argentine enjoys it against Spurs, netting 10 times in his last nine, and he looks the best bet to do so again.
