Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City

3pm – 29.10.16

Spurs will be happy to return to White Hart Lane following four away matches in the space of 11 days, none of which they won. This was a crucial fixture in the title race last year and while the result here won’t have too great an effect on the outcome this time round, it is important for Mauricio Pochettino’s side to return to winning ways.

Fortunately for Spurs, Leicester currently have the worst away record in the league, conceding at least twice in all four defeats as well as being behind at the break in each. Their last three have included trips to Anfield, Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge and it should be another tough examination at the Lane.

Spurs are the only unbeaten side left in the league and although they’ve won three of their four home fixtures, one criticism would be a lack of a cutting edge, leading Poch to state after their goalless draw with Bournemouth that they need to be more clinical. In the four league games since Kane got injured only Dele Alli and Son have found the net so others need to step up.

At home all four of Spurs’ games have had fewer than three strikes as they’ve netted just five times. However, their defence remains outstanding, conceding just four times in nine matches and just once at home so it’s tough to see Leicester’s away-day woes improving here. Expect the home side to prevail but by no means humiliate their opponents.
