The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System: Post-Weekend Review [Week 34]

Hello all,

It was a tough weekend of tipping but I still managed to land us a lovely 11/1 winner.

We have Port Vale to thank for earning us some weekend profit as they managed to come back from 2-0 down at home to Stevenage to salvage a stalemate and the Draw Double.

Newport and Luton played out a 1-1 in the other game to bring home the cash – although the Hatters’ second half of the season collapse is looking like it’s going to ruin my 8/1 ante-post bet on them to win League Two.

Talking of blowing a lead, one went against us this weekend, too, to cost us some decent dollar.

The 17/2 Win 5fold was let down by Fulham in the early game as they chucked away a 2-0 advantage at home to QPR to draw 2-2.

Carlisle only drew so their game would’ve been voided but it still would’ve returned some tasty profit had the Cottagers held on at home.

In the other markets, we were just Barnsley and Oldham goals off the 10/1 BTTS 4fold, and two of the four Lucas Joao selections came in.

I’m half tempted to start doing them as a Yankee bet (11 bets made up of doubles, trebles and a 4fold) because the number of times two or three of the choices come in is quite regular.

There are a few EFL games on this midweek but not enough for a separate piece, and it’s all about the Football League this weekend as the internationals return.

England head to Holland for a friendly on Friday night, and then entertain Italy a week on Tuesday night.

I’m not a big fan of betting on friendlies but I might have a bit of a play on under 2.5 goals in those games if our previous displays under Gareth Southgate have been anything to go by.
