Hello all,
It was a positive Saturday as my 9/2 Win 5fold landed, giving us an 11-point return from just the five points staked.
The bet won with relative ease, Barcelona and Hibernian’s narrow 2-1 wins over Sevilla and Dundee respectively the only worries, with Monaco, Valencia and Rangers all doing the business without any hassles.
The 75/1 Lucas Joao 4fold was once again so close, missing out by just two goals as all four teams won – Barca, PSG, Bayern Munich and Nottingham Forest – but just two of them conceded.
We were let down by both Forest and Paris Saint-Germain keeping clean sheets against QPR – who had been impressive of late – and Angers.
Choosing to concentrate on some of the European heavyweights rather than the inconsistent Championship sides – Derby and Villa a classic example on Saturday, losing at home to Reading and Sheffield Wednesday – reaped some rewards.
Elsewhere, Super Sunday didn’t disappoint with Man City landing my tip of them to win -1 on the handicap.
Kevin De Bruyne got on the scoresheet but sadly his effort wasn’t outside the box.
Chelsea looked much stronger with N’Golo Kante back so my Man United Draw No Bet tip went down, and Jose Mourinho’s men just couldn’t do enough to grab an equaliser to land the 1-1 scoreline bet.
Romelu Lukaku was particularly poor, registering zero touches in the Chelsea box.
It’s internationals time again this week with Ireland and Northern Ireland involved in some crunch World Cup play-off games against Denmark and Switzerland respectively, plus England entertain Germany and Brazil at Wembley.
So, look out on The Set Odds Twitter for some midweek tips and The 4-4-2 System will be back on Thursday as per usual.
