Happy bank holiday weekend – what better time to fund any special Sunday night outings or BBQ feasts with a few winners on Saturday?
This midweek has just about been profitable thanks to Wayne Rooney scoring first on Monday night, landing me a 12/1 FGS tip.
Hull failing to score at League One Doncaster Rovers meant I was one goal off a 9/1 both teams to score (BTTS) 4fold on Tuesday night.

The League Cup misery was compounded on Wednesday when my 4fold was only let down by Southampton, who put a strong team out at home to Wolves, who made 11 changes.
Add to that the fact I had a few bob on the first day of York’s Ebor meeting (flat racing for those not in the know) and was denied a three-figure return by a horse’s nose hair in a photo finish.
As a glass half full kind of guy I’m looking at this as though surely the lucky will start changing sooner rather than later!
It has for my team Aston Villa as I’ve now seen us win twice in the last two games, scoring eight goals in the process, and I’m off to Bristol City on Friday night to see a hat-trick of victories.
Well, I may be getting carried away with that but I fancy goals in the game, so BTTS at 4/5 with Betfair (bet HERE) looks a decent bet.
I better whisper this one, but I also like City’s Bobby Reid – the man whose 98th minute goal landed us an 11/1 double a few weeks ago – to score outside the box at, would you Adam and Eve it, 11/1 again. That’s with Sky Bet (bet HERE).
He scored against Watford in the dreaded League Cup in midweek as the Hornets suffered a home defeat to Bristol City, but I fancy Marco Silva’s men to bounce back from that loss this Saturday.
I’ve been really impressed with Watford so far in the Premier League and they should see off a point-less and goal-less Brighton at home.
Cardiff have won all four of their League games so far, including a brilliant win at Wolves last weekend, so I fancy them to pick off QPR quite easily, but always find getting a bit of confidence about a Championship team can be a risky affair.
Still, this is reflected in their odds of around 3/4, which looks a bit of value for the table-toppers to win at home.
Middlesbrough have won both of their home games without conceding and face a Preston side who have scored just twice in four League games, although they have kept three clean sheets in that time.
Blackpool have one win in one at home and go up against an Oldham side who have lost all three of their League games, so I cannot quite understand why the Tangerines are odds-against for victory?
Saturday’s 5fold is completed with a top versus bottom clash in League Two as Swindon entertain a struggling Crawley managed by Harry Kewell, who could have a glum face on when he’s sticking a few shrimps on his bank holiday barbie come Sunday.
I’m not a huge fan of putting early or late kick offs into accas but both Manchester sides have attracted me to do just that this weekend.
I fancy goals when City head to Bournemouth in the 12.30pm kick off on Saturday, and think the impressive-looking United – who have won both their League games 4-0 – should see off Leicester at home.
Both have made the Win and Over 2.5 goals 5fold along with the aforementioned Blackpool and Swindon, plus Wolves, who will hopefully be buzzing come 5pm on Saturday when the final whistle goes in their game at struggling Brentford.
I like the look of the Under 2.5 goals acca this week, so much so I had more selections than usual in my shortlist so had to axe a few.
Sheffield Wednesday fans have only seen six goals in their first four League matches – only three of which were scored by the Owls – and they travel to Burton Albion.
There has only been five goals in games involving Fulham in the Championship this season, so I’m hoping they will look to park the tractor in front of the goal as they take on the impressive Ipswich away from home.
The Tractor Boys are joint top of the League after winning their four games, and are around 23/10 for victory, which looks to be decent value.
As well as United hosting Leicester in the Premier League, the other late game on Saturday sees in-form Nottingham Forest entertain Leeds United in the Championship.
Forest have two wins in two at home, while Leeds have won both of their away games, so I’ve added two and two together and got draw.
