Football Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System [Week 3]

Hello all,

It was a close call last weekend but there was no such thing during midweek as we smashed an 11/1 double, a 7/1 4fold and a 3/1 4fold!

Tuesday night’s Draw Double – tipped up in Monday’s Post-Weekend Review – was particularly pleasing as it came courtesy of Bristol City’s Bobby Reid grabbing an equaliser at Brentford a whole EIGHT MINUTES into injury time.

And both of my tweeted tips for Wednesday night on @TheSetOdds came in, with Real Madrid’s comfortable win over Barcelona sealing the deal.

So, the coffers have been replenished ready for this weekend and I have selected my top picks from the usual 10 markets.

The Premier League looked straightforward last week but proved not to be, so I’m treading carefully this weekend.

I fancy Liverpool and their goal-hungry frontline to make light work of a transitional Crystal Palace, who were embarrassed by Huddersfield on the opening day, and I’m backing Reid’s Bristol City to rollover Millwall.

The other trio I like to land us a Win 5fold at between 12/1 and 13/1 are Portsmouth, Coventry and Luton, who are at home to Walsall, Newport County and Colchester United respectively.

I do have a slight concern over the Hatters after they went from a Real Madrid-esque 8-2 winning team to losing 1-0 at Barnet last weekend. Annoyingly, the game would’ve won us a 13/2 Over 1.5 goals 8fold had one more goal been scored.

But Luton should win a fair few of their home matches this season and be right up there come the end of the campaign.

Elsewhere, in the Prem, Leicester, Burnley and Bournemouth could well win their home games but any of these could be potential banana skins so I’m steering clear.

I’m also leaving goal-shy Southampton alone. They play a West Ham team with match winners in Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic so anything could happen.

Arguably, the tastiest Saturday game comes at Molineux when second place Wolves host Championship table toppers Cardiff City.

Both have won all three of their games so far, and the Bluebirds are yet to concede. The problem is their impressive records make it a tricky one to call.

If Cardiff had been at home I’d be plumping for a draw but Wolves have seen off title favourites Middlesbrough as well as potential promotion candidates Derby County and Hull City, meaning I’m leaning towards them.

But I can’t back against the Welsh team with them top of the table and possessing an on-fire front three of Kenneth Zohore, Junior Hoilett and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, so I’m only including it in my Over 1.5 goals acca.

I’m heading to League Two for the Draw Double this weekend. Both of Crewe and Stevenage’s league games have ended in stalemates so far this season as they host Barnet and Grimsby respectively.

One game I wouldn’t mind ending in a draw is Aston Villa at home to Norwich. However, all clues point to an away win after the dross I’ve watched from my beloved claret and blues this season.

Yet again another away day defeat on Tuesday at Reading was a disappointment, but my mood and 30-minute train journey home were improved somewhat when I checked the Championship scores to see Reid had landed us an 11/1 double.

I’ll have another W(inner) this weekend, please Bob!
