Football Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System [Week 12]

Hi all,

It’s been an interesting week of League Cup action with Wolves managing to somehow do what no other Premier League or Champions League defence has done this season by stopping Man City scoring.

Despite Wolves holding a City team featuring Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling at the Etihad, I don’t think the Championship table toppers’ neighbours West Brom will be able to do the same on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola will be after a reaction from his troops, so they are the first team in my Win 5fold.

Another Premier League team who disappointed against Championship opposition in midweek was Arsenal at home to Norwich.

They managed to get through in extra-time but only thanks to a late equaliser from 18-year-old Edward Nketiah and then an extra-time winner from the teenager.

I think they’ll have enough to beat Swansea with their first team players back – Mesut Ozil was brilliant for the Gunners at Everton last week.

Watford have surprised most people this season – me included. I saw them in pre-season at Villa Park in a 0-0 draw and they certainly didn’t look as exciting as they did against Chelsea last weekend.

When they went 2-1 up at Stamford Bridge there only looked to be one winner but they hadn’t banked on Batman coming off the bench to ruin their party.

Stoke don’t really have a superhero in their ranks and their days of keeping it tight at the back seem to be over for now, so I fancy the Hornets.

I tipped Cardiff up at 14/5 to win at Boro in last week’s 4-4-2 System, and I fancy them as part of the Win 5fold this time when they entertain Millwall on Saturday.

Talking of entertaining, Rotherham love playing at home and scoring goals.

They’ve netted an average of three a game at the New York Stadium and face a Gillingham side on Saturday who have won just one in seven away from home, scoring just twice in the process, so the Millers complete my 5fold picks.

I’m also placing my hopes on Rotherham when it comes to the new Mixed Multiple market.

There are only three selections in it this week, but it would return 13pts from a 2pt outlay if the Millers can beat Gillingham by more than one, and both teams score in Sunderland v Bristol City and the Championship’s late kick-off Hull v Forest.

Liverpool may well bounce back after their embarrassing defeat at Spurs when they take on Huddersfield at home but they simply cannot be fully trusted at the moment so they’re in the Win 10fold.

Elsewhere, I really like the look of the 248/1 Lucas Joao this weekend. If Man City and Watford can do the business while conceding then it’ll be up to Bristol City and Accrington to beat Sunderland and Barnet respectively while doing the same.

Man United host Tottenham in the early kick-off and I have 10/1, 4/1 and 13/5 tips for the gameĀ over in The Big Match Preview.
