Football Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System [Week 10]

Hello all,

It’s back to a full schedule of domestic football action this weekend and I can’t wait for the mouth-watering tie between Liverpool and Man United to kick it all off on Saturday lunchtime.

For an in-depth look into that head over to see my Liverpool v Man United Big Match Preview, which features a 12/1 tip for the game, among a few others.

But this piece is all about The 4-4-2 System and I’m starting this week’s Win 5fold with the Premier League table toppers Man City at home to Stoke.

Even losing Sergio Aguero to injury couldn’t stop City winning at Chelsea before the international break, so this has a home win stamped all over it.

City can score goals from everywhere and if my Prem ante-post top scorer tip Gabriel Jesus isn’t too tired from his Brazil exploits in midweek, I expect him to net.

Plus, Stoke have been defeated in 15 of their last 16 away games against a team top of the table.

Sheffield United have won four of their five home games – guess the one game I tipped the Blades to win at home this season? That’s right, the one they lost 1-0 against Norwich.

They face an inconsistent Ipswich on Saturday but I’ve been impressed with the Steel City side and fancy them to avoid making the mistakes they made last time out against another team from East Anglia.

Wigan sit second in League One with nine wins from 12 and should have enough to see off Southend.

The Essex boys have won three of their last five but went down heavily 4-1 at Doncaster last time out so hopefully that will bring them back down to earth as they make the long trip up north.

Walsall held League One leaders Shrewsbury last week and have avoided defeat against the likes of Charlton and Peterborough at home, plus won at Oxford away, recently. So, I fancy the Saddlers to do the same at home to Blackpool.

Luton have been playing impressively of late, like the team I thought they would be pre-season when I tipped them at 8/1 for the League Two title, winning four of their last five.

They face a tough ask again play-off hopefuls Stevenage, but with strikers James Collins and Danny Hylton in form I think they’ll have enough to win.

Elsewhere, I’ve been swatting up on some stats this week and discovered some interesting frequent scores data.

The most popular score in the Premier League and League One this season has been a 1-0 home win, but in the Championship it is a 1-1 draw and 2-1 home victory, proving there are some serious goals going in.

But these stats get even more interesting in League Two, where a 1-0 away win is the most popular scoreline.

That is followed by a 1-0 home victory and then a 2-1 away win narrowly behind in third place, meaning those playing away are taking more of the spoils in England’s fourth tier.

I’m hoping that stays true this weekend as in the Lucas Joao I’ve got both Cheltenham and Newport to win their away games while conceding.

I’m off to Wolves this Saturday to cheer on the mighty Villa. Everyone has been going mad about the home side this season, and while I’ve been impressed, too, I wouldn’t write us off in this game.

We are the form team in the Championship with four wins on the bounce and I don’t think that’s an easy feat in this League whoever you come up against.

Jonathan Kodjia to score first at 13/2 with Unibet (bet HERE) looks huge.
