Other than Barcelona, it’s difficult to think of a current forward line with a greater understanding and balance than Liverpool’s awesome foursome – Coutinho, Firmino, Mane and Lallana. Once more they were highly impressive against West Brom and should have scored more, but much to the annoyance of their manager, they conceded again. It means their only clean sheet this term has come against a Man United side that decided not to attack, as they look particularly vulnerable from crosses into the box. This is a pressing issue for Klopp and as his predecessor Brendan Rodgers learnt it doesn’t matter how good you are going forward, to win the league a team must be able to defend.
One of Palace’s strengths this season has been getting the ball into the box towards target man Christian Benteke. The Belgian, who has a certain point to prove against his former club, is 2.75 to strike anytime. The Eagles have stuttered in recent weeks, failing to win any of their last three, while at home their only win in four was against an out of form Stoke side.
Palace have also struggled at the back, failing to keep a clean sheet all season, so in addition to Liverpool‘s defensive concerns and that the Reds have kept just three clean sheets from 20 away games under Klopp, we expect both sides to get on the scoresheet. Given the mood of this current Liverpool side we’ll back the visitors to outscore their opponents.
