Some could argue that it was harsh to sack Francesco Guidolin amidst a treacherous run of games that saw Swansea take on Leicester, Chelsea, Southampton, City (twice) and then Liverpool. However, just one draw and five defeats from these means American Bob Bradley is now at the helm in South Wales. One of the first issues the former USA manager will have to solve is his goal-shy attack force – they’ve scored just six goals in the league all season, four of which have come from midfielder Leroy Fer.
It’s a tough ask for Bradley to go to the Emirates first up to take on an Arsenal side that have won seven of their last eight in all competitions, including five on the bounce in the league. What’s more, since 2013/14 they’ve triumphed in 14 of their 18 home games against bottom-six opposition with 10 of those victories coming to nil.
Shkodran Mustafi looks a lot more settled at the back and is forming an effective partnership with Laurent Koscielny, who has been one of the best defenders in the league so far this season. Together they’ve kept three clean sheets in a row and we expect them to make it four here.
