Arsenal v Man City Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ Big Match Preview

Man City led a massacre of Arsenal in the League Cup Final on Sunday and the only positive for the Gunners was that they only went down 3-0.

Arsenal will be hurting and should be more determined than ever to put in a performance on Thursday night, but City are likely to carry on where they left off.

The only saving grace for the Gunners could be that with Chelsea to play on the weekend, City may opt to rest a couple.

Team News

Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette is still out with a knee problem and Nacho Monreal injured his back at Wembley so is likely to miss out.

The Gunners will welcome Henrikh Mkhitaryan back after he was cup-tied on Sunday.

For City, Fernandinho is out after suffering a hamstring strain in the Cup Final, but Raheem Sterling could be in the squad after his hamstring injury.

One player who won’t be in the squad is Fabian Delph, who is suspended, but Yaya Toure could be back after illness.

Betting Focus

I went for the Draw at HT, City at FT on Sunday and it narrowly missed out due to some suspect Gunners defending.

It wouldn’t surprise me if City started brightly again on Thursday night but I’m counting on Arsenal putting a bit more effort into this game and at least keeping it tight until the break. Plus, it’s 9/2 and that looks good to me.

Leroy Sane looked lively at Wembley on Sunday and if he starts on Thursday night he’s got a great chance of opening the scoring, so I’m happy to take the 7/1 on offer for him to net the opener.
