One of the greatest cult kits in football has been given an upgrade by Nike for 2016.
Modelled by Carlos Tevez, who has reportedly turned down an offer to rejoin West Ham, Boca Juniors’ iconic new strip features some noticeable alterations.
Instead of the sponsor being positioned within the yellow stripe across the chest, it is now below, with the navy blue shirt also including a contemporary collar with CABJ stitching on the back.
The away kit comes in classic white with a two-tone horizontal stripe, plus Nike’s expandable ventilation strip down the side.
Boca are expected to wear the new kit in their Copa Libertadores semi-final against Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle, with the first leg taking place on Thursday night.
