The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System: Post-Weekend Review [Internationals Week 2]

Hello all,

The international games are clinging on in there and while I’m looking forward to watching Wales and Ireland’s huge clash, I can’t wait for the domestic action to return.

Having said that, don’t talk to me about Notts County. The Magpies started the weekend top of League Two and faced what appeared to be an easy game against bottom side Forest Green.

Of course, the Greens led 1-0 for two thirds of the match until Rob Milsom’s 96th minute equaliser, but that meant diddly squat to me and County cost me a potential three-figure return from a bet aside from the 5-a-Side System.

Even more annoyingly, I needed just one more goal from either side to land the 6/1 Over 2.5 goals acca but it wasn’t to be.

Notts County also let down the Win 5fold but that was already dead on Friday night after Italy could only, somehow, draw 1-1 with Macedonia.

Two of the four Lucas Joao legs landed and while Newport and France both won they didn’t concede.

I put up a 20/1 each-way first goalscorer tip of Portugal’s Andre Silva and Switzerland’s Haris Seferović.

Silva scored second on Saturday against Andorra and despite the Swiss scoring five times against Hungary, their only striker Seferović somehow didn’t net.

In better goalscoring news, it was a good weekend for my ante-post top scorer tips in Leagues One and Two as Charlie Wyke – tipped at 16/1 – grabbed his fifth and sixth goals of the season for Bradford, and Luton’s and James Collins – a 9/1 nod – netted his seventh of the campaign.

The Hatters – who I tipped up at 8/1 to win League Two at the start of the season – are now best priced 7/4 to top the table come the end of the season.

There are a few international games on tonight but it’s all about Wales v Ireland as they face off in a winner-takes-all final World Cup qualifier.

Despite Gareth Bale’s injury, I fancy the Dragons to slay the Boys in Green, but it should be a tight first half.

So I’m backing Draw at Half-Time, Wales at Full-Time at 9/2 with Betfair (bet HERE).

I’m starting a new Post-Weekend Review feature this week – the Long-Term Tip. As you can probably guess, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

I’m searching for long-term value which will hopefully net us some lovely profit come the end of the season for a nice holiday in the sun.

Wolves are looking like real Championship contenders this season and while I also like the look of my team Villa – who go to Wolves this Saturday – at a long price, I’ve spied some great value on the handicap.

Wolves +10 has a great chance of coming in. They’ve taken 23 points from 33, have a top notch squad, including the recently returned Helder Costa, and could probably buy in January if they needed to.

Long-Term Tip

Wolves +10 Handicap – 4/1 (Bet Victor – bet HERE)

The Set Odds’ Betting System total profit/loss 2017/18 = -72.5pts
