The Beast from the East has dominated the headlines this week, but Arsenal would be forgiven for thinking the snowstorm emerged from the north west after their players froze twice against Man City in five days.
Pep Guardiola’s men romped to two 3-0 wins over the misfiring Gunners, and they will be aiming to inflict further misery on Chelsea.
Antonio Conte’s Blues will have no doubt had a beady eye on both of those comfortable City wins and won’t be relishing a trip up north for Sunday afternoon’s clash.
Kyle Walker will face a late fitness test after picking up a knock in the Thursday night smashing of Arsenal, but Raheem Sterling could return.
Fabian Delph will serve the third and final game of his suspension, and both Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy are out with muscle and knee injuries respectively.
For Chelsea, Ross Barkley is back in the squad, but David Luiz, Ethan Ampadu and Tiemoue Bakayoko are all out with injuries.
It’s hard to look past City at the moment and after tipping them Draw at HT, win at FT for their last two games – when they led at the break on both occasions – I’m going for Win/Win at 6/4 this time.
You know what’s going to happen – it’ll be a draw at HT now, but I can’t tip that for a third time in a row.
I fancied Leroy Sane to break the deadlock on Thursday night and while he did net in the match, he missed out on the opener.
But I’m going to keep faith in him for Sunday at 15/2 FGS after a Man of the Match performance at the Emirates.
While City were barely tested at the back against Arsenal, I expect Chelsea to put up more of a fight and probably score so I’m going to also plump for City & BTTS at 11/5.
