Football Betting Tips: The Set Odds’ 4-4-2 Betting System [Week 6]

Hello all,

It’s only Tuesday but it’s already 4-4-2 Betting System time this week because there are so many big fixtures going on. I can’t resist a few wagers and thought I’d bring you a bonus edition!

Not only is the Champions League returning this evening, but we have a near enough full Football League fixture schedule to sink some of last weekend’s profit into after 17/2 and 9/2 wins as well as big cash out profit from the 209/1 Lucas Joao.

Man United – who let us down for the 209/1 4fold by failing to grab a winner at Stoke – have made a great start to the season and I fancy them to carry that on at home to a Basel side who haven’t been as dominate as they usually are in Switzerland.

Barcelona face last season’s Champions League finalists Juventus and while it looks a potentially tricky tie for the Catalans, the Old Lady are without some key players.

Plus, Messi has been up to his old tricks, netting five times in three La Liga games, so I’m going for Barca here.

At the current prices, I also think Barca are decent odds to win the Champions League outright at 7/1 with Betway (bet HERE). Their rivals Real Madrid are rightly favourites at around 4/1 but at nearly double the price I’m backing Messi and co.

Elsewhere in tonight’s 5fold, Fleetwood haven’t been at their best in their last two games but should be able to bounce back against struggling Bury, who are conceding goals for fun.

Accrington and Colchester have very winnable games at home against Grimsby and Chesterfield respectively, but I’m erring slightly on the side of caution with Draw No Bet advised for Stanley and Win or Draw for the Us to complete the 5fold.

I nearly picked Bristol Rovers but have stuck them in the 10fold instead purely because they concede so many goals, and they are playing an Oldham team who love to score. But The Pirates should still win.

Paris Saint Germain’s new recruits Neymar and Kylian MbappĂ© have hit the ground running and they should be too much for Celtic, but the Hoops usually put up a good fight at home so I can see them scoring.

One single bet I really like the look of in the game is Neymar to score from outside the box at a huge 10/1 with Sky Bet (bet HERE).

PSG and Barca both feature in tonight’s Lucas Joao, as do Blackpool away at Plymouth and inconsistent Luton, who will be determined to get back on track at home to Port Vale.

The Hatters were stuffed 3-0 at home to Swindon last Saturday in one of the biggest shocks of the weekend.

If ever there was a team to sum up how inconsistent the Football League results have been this season it has to be Swindon.

The Robins won 1-0 at Morecambe a few weeks back but followed that up with 3-0 and 4-1 home losses against Crawley and Barnet respectively.

Last weekend, they won 3-0 away at promotion-chasing Luton. Needless to say, I’ll be leaving Swindon alone when they travel to Notts County on Tuesday night!

I’m back off to Villa Park tonight to see our tricky game against Middlesbrough. We were dreadful against Brentford at home in a 0-0 draw on Saturday, and had Sam Johnstone to thank for keeping the Bees at bay and helping to land my 17/2 5fold as a result.

I’ve left Villa alone today because who knows what side will turn up.
