Chelsea v Man United Betting Tips: Big Match Preview

The return of the Special One to Stamford Bridge always tends to bring a few fireworks – so Bonfire Night seems an apt date for this fixture.

Chelsea defended like schoolboys against Roma on Wednesday and if they do so again on Sunday, even Jose Mourinho’s dull Man United side can get on the scoresheet.

Team News

The Blues could be boosted by the return of midfielder N’Golo Kante, but it’s not yet known for certain whether he will play.

Chelsea will be without Victor Moses, though, as he’s still got a hamstring problem.

Mourinho has a number of injuries with Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo all still out.

Jesse Lingard is added to that list after he picked up a back problem against Benfica in midweek which forced him off at half-time.

Betting Focus

After the way Chelsea capitulated on Wednesday night and with Kante doubtful, I’m torn between a draw and a United win for this one. But I’m going to plump for the away team Draw No Bet.

Mourinho is likely to put on one of his tactical masterclasses to ensure United don’t get beat as he did when they managed a recent point at Anfield.

But they could easily nick it if Chelsea’s defence goes up in smoke like it did in Rome. If they don’t then a draw is the most likely outcome and I can see a 1-1 scoreline coming in.

Chelsea will need to try to make a good start and I like the 13/2 available on Eden Hazard to open the scoring.
