Hi all,
I hope you’re having an enjoyable and sunny bank holiday Monday. Sadly, the sun wasn’t shining on us last weekend.
Once again it was a frustrating case of another day, another injury time goal to cost us some cash.
Saturday’s Under 2.5 goals 6fold was coming in for a 12-point return and two points of profit for the 4-4-2 System until Derby’s injury time consolation goal at Sheffield United, and the Blades compounded the misery by adding another in time added on.
And on Sunday, Burnley’s equaliser at Tottenham two minutes into injury time cost me a 13/2 6fold tipped on up The Set Odds Twitter.
There were also a few strange results on Saturday. Anyone who correctly picked out Crawley would stun Swindon 3-0 away from home and free-scoring Watford would lose a man early doors and draw a blank deserves all the plaudits they can get.
Still, at least we aren’t Arsenal.
Liverpool did our 8/1 Top at Christmas tip no harm by being simply superb against the lacklustre Gunners, who looked like they didn’t have a clue how to cope with them. Coutinho who?
Other positives to take from the weekend included my Premier League ante-post top goalscorer tip Gabriel Jesus opening his account for the season.
The Brazilian has now contributed towards 12 goals in his first 11 league starts for the Citizens – netting eight and assisting four.
My League Two top scorer tip James Collins grabbed another goal for Luton, taking him to joint top scorer with five, and the bookies are clearly getting worried about the Hatters – who I tipped ante-post to win League Two – as I’m already being offered a cash out of nearly double my stake.
I also had a 4/5 win on Friday night when I plumped for BTTS as Bristol City hosted my beloved Aston Villa, who have picked up in the last few weeks.
Plus, those who wrote off Chelsea may now be reconsidering as they built on an impressive away win at Spurs with a comfortable 2-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
Talking of the Toffees, I managed 12/1 and 9/1 winning bets on them last midweek thanks to Wayne Rooney’s opening goal against City and Gylfi Sigurdsson’s wonder strike against Hajduk Split respectively.
I won’t be backing Rooney to score for England in Malta though as the Everton frontman retired from international duty last week.
WINNER!!! And what a strike it was from Gylfi Sigurdsson to land us a 9/1 winner! Hit it from miles away. On his first start, too. https://t.co/SdfRziG4gX

I dislike betting on international games nearly as much as the League Cup but there is still cash to be made so there will be a blog up on Thursday as usual, but it probably won’t involve the usual 10 markets.
There will, of course, be plenty of League One and Two tips in there, and look out for a few potential Checkatrade Trophy tips on Twitter.
