Burnley remain on four points after their opening five games following their 3-0 loss to Leicester. Defeat by the same score at The Bridge would suggest they’re going to
have to rely on picking up points regularly at Turf Moor rather than on the road
Watford have faced four of last season’s top-seven and Chelsea in their opening five fixtures, picking up an impressive seven points along the way. They’ve certainly been one of the more entertaining sides to watch with both teams scoring in all five and four seeing at least three goals. In contrast, each of Burnley’s home games have had fewer than three strikes as they continue to be tough to break down at Turf Moor, having conceded just 37 goals in 55 home games since the start of their last spell in the top-flight in 2014/15.
Watford have started well on the road picking up four points from a possible six from their trips to St. Mary’s and The Olympic Stadium. This bodes well for the Hornets
as their only away wins last campaign came against bottom-half clubs. Their only away defeat to a bottom-six team came at the back end of the season at Norwich, having already assured themselves of Premier league survival. They went W4-D1 in their other five games and we expect them to carry on in the same manor following their promising start to the season.
