Leverkusen continue to struggle this term as they’ve dropped back down to 12th after their 1-0 defeat Leipzig, with new manager Tayfun Korkut yet to have any significant impact. Bayern, meanwhile, bounced back from their defeat at Hoffenheim with a resounding 4-1 home win over Dortmund to remain 10 points clear at the top.
Leverkusen are a mixed W5-D4-L5 at home this term, with two of those defeats against top-three sides Leipzig and Hoffenheim as they conceded three times in both those losses, while they also conceded three in defeat to Gladbach. They haven’t lost in their last three home games against Bayern since 2013/14, but this side is some way off the ones that managed those results and as such the Bavarians look a fair price at 1.62.
Bayern have won seven of their last nine on the road, keeping a clean sheet in three of their last five. Indeed, they’ve conceded only two goals in their last seven at home and away and with Lewandowski in great form at the moment as well as Thomas Muller’s form picking up in front of goal with three in his last four, Ancelotti’s men look a dangerous proposition. We’re backing them to cover the -1 Handicap.
