Jurgen Klopp branded Sunderland ‘the most defensive team ever’, but perhaps Davis Moyes sees fixtures against Leicester and Swansea as more realistic opportunities of picking up three points than games at Anfield. Prior to last weekend, the Black Cats had won consecutive matches, netting five of their 12 goals this season.

They’ll fancy getting on the scoresheet again versus a Leicester side that have the joint-worst away defensive record in the league.

After 13 games, Claudio Ranieri’s side have now delivered the worst start to a league season by reigning champions since 1962-63.

It’s just one win in their last eight top-flight matches and just three all season as they sit two points above the drop-zone.

Only Burnley have as few points as them on the road as they’ve lost five of six winless matches, though the last five of these have been against current top-eight teams.

The 16 away goals conceded by the Foxes is just two fewer than they allowed in all of last season and one man who will be excited about their visit to the Stadium of Light is Jermain Defoe.

Of the players to have scored five or more times this season, no one has seen less of the ball than Defoe’s 272 touches.

He’s vital to Sunderland’s success having been involved (scored or created) in 75% of their goals to date and we fancy him to net again.

Best Bet: Jermain Defoe to Score Anytime at 2.2
