Inter v Palermo
Both these sides lost their opening games, with Inter slumping to a 2-0 defeat at Chievo in Frank de Boer’s first game in charge following the sacking of Roberto Mancini ahead of the season, while Palermo were beaten 1-0 at home to Sassuolo.
A poor finish to last season means that Inter have now lost four of their last six games, but all four of these matches were on the road and their record at the San Siro last term was W13-D2-L4 as they led at the break in eight of these games and kept nine clean sheets, though seven of these came in their opening eight. When hosting bottom-six sides they were W5-D1-L0 last term as they led at the break in four of these games, though kept only two clean sheets, and yet four of their wins were by more than one goal.
Palermo managed just four away wins last term, with a W4-D5-L10 record overall and when travelling to top-six sides they’re W1-D4-L7 in the last couple of seasons, trailing at the break in seven of these, but managing to find the net in seven, while five of their defeats were still by more than one goal. As a result, we’re backing Inter to win this one well and pick up their first points of the season.
Recommendations: Inter -1 Handicap at 2.10
