West Ham v Chelsea
20,00 - 6/3/2017 - London Stadium, East London
A Fernando Llorente goal on the stroke of half time kept Swansea in the game at Stamford Bridge, but the hosts came back for a gritty 3-1 win. They now travel to West Ham, who have just one win in their last four after a scrappy draw with Watford and who will be missing Michail Antonio after he got sent off at the death last weekend.
The only game Antonio has failed to start for the Hammers saw them go down 1-5 against Arsenal, which looks ominous for the hosts. Chelsea’s draw against Burnley was the first time they’d failed to beat a middle-third side this season, and they’ve recorded Win/Win HT/FT results in six of 10 such games. They’ve covered the -1 handicap in seven of the 10 they’ve played so far against middle-third teams, and after just one win in their last four away games they’ll hope to use last weekend as a springboard to a big win here.
Chelsea have the squad depth and firepower to exact revenge for their League Cup loss to the Hammers earlier this season here. Each of West Ham’s last three at home has seen more than two goals, as have the previous four meetings between these sides, so we’ll back Chelsea to win and Over 2.5 goals.
