West Brom v Leicester
15:00 - 29/4/2017 - The Hawthorns, West Bromwich
West Brom are stuck in a rut: they are winless in four, and they’ve failed to score in each of those games. That being said, they may fancy themselves to do better against Leicester, who’ve now gone winless in their last five across all competitions and could only limp to a 1-0 loss at Arsenal. They’re six points clear of the relegation zone, but they hold a game in hand and having scored at least two in seven of their last eight league games they’ll fancy themselves to create some chances here.
Leicester’s away form has been very weak this term. They’ve gone W1-D4-L12 on the road this season, losing five of their last seven and failing to score in four of those losses. Their recent form has however seen them score seven in their last three away, so they’ll hope to ruffle the Baggies’ feathers. Unfortunately for the Foxes it looks like they’ll be hard pressed to do much more than that: West Brom have won six of their seven home games against bottom-half sides, scoring at least twice in each of those victories, and given that they’ve scored exactly two in each of their last four against Leicester we think this could be a high-scoring game.
The bookies have West Brom marked as odds-against favourites, but we think they’ll be too strong for a Foxes side that’s struggled on the road. We’ll side with the home win, but we’ll also have a wager on this one going over 3.5 goals, as has happened in three of the last four meetings between these two.
