Swansea v West Ham
15:00
Swansea plunged even deeper into the relegation zone with their 0-3 drubbing away at Middlesbrough, a result that condemned Bob Bradley to the worst win rate of any Swansea manager in the Premier League (20%). This week they welcome West Ham to Wales after a controversial win over Hull at London Stadium, but they have won only one league game on the road since May, and two 1-0 home victories will not be enough to get West Ham fans’ hopes up just yet.
Swansea’s defence continues to look truly woeful. Last weekend was the sixth time in their last eight games that they have conceded three or more goals, and they have conceded the most goals of any team in the league (37). That being said, they have recorded back-to-back wins in their most recent home games, and it is probably this pair of results that is keeping Bob Bradley in his job. They can take further confidence from the fact that West Ham have secured just the one away win in their last 11 games across all competitions, although they have got on the scoresheet in all but one of those games. They’ve drawn four of their last six away against middle-third teams, and given that they’ve looked less than convincing of late, that could easily be the result again.
All things considered, it’s hard to know which way this one will go, but we should see plenty of goals: given Swansea’s dire defensive record and the fact that three of the Hammers’ last four away games have featured four or more goals, we’re going for Over 3.5 Goals.
