Swansea v Bournemouth
15:00
Bob Bradley’s disastrous tenure as Swansea manager came to an end on Tuesday after just two wins from his 11 Premiership games in charge; their 1-4 drubbing at the hands of West Ham was the final straw for the owners, and it is as yet unclear who will be in charge when they host Bournemouth this Saturday. Bournemouth were ripped apart by Chelsea on Boxing Day, but Eddie Howe can be sure of an easier away day this weekend as they take on the team second from bottom in the league.
While Swansea may be in disarray at present, Bournemouth’s road form is uninspiring. They’ve lost three of their last four away from home against bottom-six teams (failing to get on the scoresheet twice in that run), and have not kept a clean sheet away against a bottom-six side since they arrived in the Premiership last season. Swansea may not have beaten a middle-third side at home this season, but they got on the scoresheet against both Man United and West Ham, and held Watford to a goalless draw where they did not. That being said, having conceded three or more in seven of the last nine rounds, Bournemouth could run amok here.
Bournemouth’s weaknesses on the road make us wary of backing them in the moneyline market, but five of their last six have gone over 2.5 goals, as have all of Swansea’s last six games. With that in mind, Over 2.5 Goals looks like a banker.
