Southampton v Middlesbrough Betting Tips

Southampton’s fate is in their own hands here as a win would
be enough for them to make it to the knockout stages, whilst a score draw would
be enough for Hapoel to nick second place in Group K behind Sparta Prague.

Saints have won both their home games so far as they’ve
beaten group winners Sparta Prague 3-0 and also beat Inter 2-1 in their last
home match. They’re in good form domestically at St Mary’s as well as they’ve
won three of their last five there in the Premier League, whilst Chelsea are
the only team to beat them in their last 17 at home in the league.

Hapoel have beaten Inter twice as the Italians have showed
little interest in this competition and played weakened sides, but they’ve
failed to score in their other three games and as a result Saints will fancy
their chances here.  Claude Puel’s men have
kept clean sheets against both Merseyside clubs in their last two at home in
the league and since five of their last seven home wins in all competitions
were without conceding, we’re backing them to win to nil.
