Sevilla v Malaga
15:00
Sevilla put in their first impressive away performance in a long time as they won 3-0 at Celta Vigo, their first away win by more than one goal in 29 road games, which is a good indicator of how well they’re playing at the moment under Jorge Sampaoli. Malaga, meanwhile couldn’t hold on to a 1-0 lead at home to Granada as they had to settle for a draw, their third in their last four games, though they’ve proved tough to beat as their only defeat in their last nine came at Atletico Madrid.
Sevilla have won six of their seven home games this term, with the exception a 2-1 defeat against Barcelona. They’ve won 10 of their 11 home games against sides between 7th and 14th since the start of last season, keeping a clean sheet in six, whilst they’ve been ahead at both half-time and full-time in their last two at home to Malaga.
Malaga are yet to win on the road this season and have won just four of their 26 away games since the start of last term. When travelling to teams between 3rd and 7th they’re just W0-D1-L5 since the start of last term as they failed to score in four of these games and also trailed at the break in four. As such, we’re backing Sevilla to continue their impressive home record and be ahead at half time and full time.
