Schalke managed to hold on for a 1-1 draw at Bayern but with just one win in their last seven they continue to struggle and remain down in 12th. Hertha, meanwhile, edged past Ingolstadt 1-0, a much-needed result given they’d lost four of five heading into that game. They remain in 6th, but they’re just two points off Eintracht in 3rd as the battle for the European spots outside the top two looks set to be an interesting one in the Bundesliga as 3rd and 7th are separated by only three points.
Schalke continue to struggle for goals as they’ve managed only five in their last seven. They’ve had a tough run of away fixtures as they’ve already gone to seven of the other eight top-half sides, managing draws against the likes of Eintracht and Dortmund, whilst they’ve picked up seven points from their three trips to bottom-half teams.
