Roma v Genoa
15:00
Roma followed up their 3-1 win over Juve with a 5-3 victory as they continue to be involved in thrilling games, with their last five all seeing more than three goals. A win here would guarantee them 2nd place behind Juve and they’ll fancy their chances against a Genoa side with little left to play for. They have however won two of their last three to remain in 16th, so they haven’t gone on their holidays just yet.
Roma have won only three of their last six at the Stadio Olimpico but they’ve had a tough run of fixtures as four of these were against fellow top-five sides. If we exclude such opposition, they’ve won all 14 of their home games this term, leading at the break in the last four of these and they’ve also scored at least three times in five of the six visits from bottom-seven sides so far. Given their current scoring form, they could put up a big number here.
Genoa have lost 12 of their last 15 on the road, including all six of their visits to top-seven sides to date. They failed to score in five of these defeats and trailed at the break in five, so it’s hard to envisage anything other than a home win here. Genoa shipped four at Juventus in their penultimate road game and three at Udinese prior to that and so we’re going to back Roma to score at least four goals, as they have done in three of their last five matches.
Recommendation: Over 3.5 Roma Goals at 1.8
