Real bounced back from their disappointing 3-3 home draw with Las Palmas by thumping Eibar 4-1 to remain within a point of Barca with their game in hand, whilst they also dumped Napoli out of the Champions League in midweek. They host a Betis side that have just one win in their last nine after they were held to a draw at Deportivo and so are down in 14th, but nine points from the relegation zone.
The draw against Las Palmas ended a run of eight straight home wins for Real, though they weren’t particularly dominant across those as they only scored more than three times in one, whilst they’ve won only four of their 13 home games this term by more than two goals. They remain vulnerable defensively as they’ve kept just three clean sheets in their last 13 at all venues, and none in their last four, and so we’re looking to be against them here.
Betis have picked up four points from their last two on the road and while they were well-beaten at Barca on the opening day of the season, since then they’ve lost by just a single goal at the likes of Sevilla and Atletico Madrid. With that in mind, we’re siding with the visitors +3 on the handicap as we expect them to make Real work hard for their three points.
