PSG continue to stutter under Unai Emery as they lost their
last league game 3-0 at Montpellier, whilst they couldn’t beat Ludogorets at
home in the Champions League and so had to settle for the runners-up spot
behind Arsenal. Nice continued to impress as they won 3-0 at Toulouse and have opened
up a three point lead on Monaco, while they’re four ahead of PSG.
PSG have lost three
times on the road already but they’ve won six of eight unbeaten home games and
have conceded just once at the Parc des Princes. However, they’ve been held to
draws by both Marseille and Saint-Etienne and they’ve won just four of their
nine home games against top-four finishers since 2013/14, with four draws in
that time.
Nice have won their last two on the road at Guingamp and
Saint-Etienne, while PSG were the only top-six team last term to beat them by
more than one goal last season. However, this PSG side looks some way off Laurent
Blanc’s one last term, whilst Nice have undoubtedly improved from last season.
With that in mind we’re backing the league leaders +2 on the handicap, which
isn’t something you can do often at 1.85, for all that PSG have dominated the
division in recent times.
