Nice have a two point lead at the top of Ligue 1 heading into the second half of the season but PSG are still expected to reel them in at the top as they’re 1.57 to retain their title, while Nice are available at 5.5, a bigger price than Monaco who are 2nd at the moment. Metz are down at the other end of the table in 19th, though they trail Bastia in 14th by just three points and have a game in hand, so they certainly have a chance of survival.
Nice have won eight of 10 unbeaten home games this term and if we add a run of home wins at the end of last season, it’s now 13 of 15 unbeaten at the Allianz Riviera. They’ve won their last eight at home to bottom-six opposition, though they’ve conceded in each of their three wins over bottom-six teams this season.
However, whether Metz can get on the scoresheet remains to be seen. They’ve lost and failed to score in five of their last six on the road, trailing at the break in four of these defeats. Since Nice have led at the break in six of their last seven at home, we’re backing the hosts to be ahead at half-time and full-time at 2.2, which we slightly prefer to the win to nil at 2.38 since the league leaders have kept just three clean sheets in their last nine at home.
