Monaco continued their excellent scoring form in their 1-4 win at Marseille and with Nice dropping points, Leonardo Jardim’s now top the division by virtue of their excellent goal difference. Lorient also won their last game as they beat Guingamp 3-1 at home, their second win in three, as they’re now up to 19th and just a couple of points away from safety.
Monaco have won eight of their 10 home games, scoring 35 goals in the process and with clean sheets in three of their last five at the Stade Louis II. Indeed, their home games against bottom-six sides tend to produce goals as all nine such fixtures since the start of last term saw more than two goals, while seven had more than three.
While Lorient have won two of their last three, both of those victories came at home and they’ve managed just two points from their 10 road games. They’ve lost all four trips to top-six opposition this season, failing to score in three of these games, including a 5-0 hammering at PSG in their last away fixture. However, prior to that game Lorient managed to score seven in their previous three road trips, all of which saw more than three goals. We’re backing the goals to continue to flow here with Monaco to Win and Over 3.5, while we wouldn’t put anyone off siding with the hosts on the handicap, with -2 a tempting 3.25 shot.
