Liverpool v West Ham

16.30 - 11/12/16 - Anfield

Liverpool will be kicking themselves after throwing away a two-goal lead against a determined Bournemouth side in a pulsating game on the south coast, but they have the chance to redeem themselves when West Ham visit Anfield on Sunday. The Hammers were thumped 5-1 at the London Stadium by an Alexis Sanchez-inspired Arsenal last weekend, and they will be braced for another tough game as they make the trip north.

Klopp’s repeated failure to hold onto two-goal leads will be a concern to the Liverpool faithful. On four occasions now they have been two goals up and failed to win, and they will want to focus on protecting a lead that they should be able to secure against West Ham. The hosts have won the first half in 12 of their last 14 home games against bottom-six sides, and West Ham have conceded in eight of their last 10 away games against top-six sides, so it would be a big surprise if Liverpool did not find the net.

Liverpool have not been watertight at the back: Loris Karius was responsible for spilling the ball into the path of Nathan Ake for the late winner last weekend, and the hosts have conceded in five of their last seven home league games. Consequently, Liverpool and Both Teams to Score looks like a good shout.
