Liverpool v Middlesbrough

Liverpool’s attack was back to their best at the London Stadium as they put four past West Ham to leave their Champions League fate in their own hands. They should have no problem getting the job done against a relegated Middlesbrough side, but their recent home form will be of slight concern to Jurgen Klopp. It’s just two points from their last three against Southampton, Palace and Bournemouth.
Boro’s miserable run of just one win in 19 (against Sunderland) continued as they lost at home to an out of form Southampton. The Saints hadn’t scored in four games but put two past Boro, meaning they’ve now conceded at least twice in seven of the 10 games Steve Agnew has been in charge. That includes conceding 11 in their last three on the road at Hull and Bournemouth as well as at champions Chelsea.
With plenty at stake the Reds should be switched on for this one and we expect them to return to winning ways at Anfield. Since the start of 2012/13 and as well as against Hull and Sunderland this season, they’ve won 13 of 16 unbeaten home matches against promoted sides.
