Leicester v Hull City
15:00 - 4/3/2017 - King Power Stadium, Leicester
Leicester looked resurgent on Monday night as they thumped Liverpool 3-1 at home and this weekend they host Hull, who were held by Burnley at home last time out. Marco Silva’s side are second from bottom in the table but only three points behind Leicester and one point from Middlesbrough in 17th. A record of 10 losses from 11 away games, however, means that fans will hold out little hope of a Tigers victory at the King Power Stadium.
One major problem for Hull is that a large proportion of the squad is unavailable due to injury. One newly confirmed absentee is Mbokani, who will be out for six weeks with a hamstring injury – Hull have failed to score in four of the last six that he has not started while scoring in each of the last three that he has lined up, so that will not do much for the confidence of a side that has not scored at a bottom-six side since the start of the season. Leicester’s record at home against bottom-half sides this season is W3-D2-L1, so while home losses to Man U and Chelsea will have dented their confidence since the new year they will feel that they can repeat their performance from Monday against a team that’s struggled on the road. Since the Foxes have been ahead at the break in all the games they’ve won against bottom-half sides, we’ll back Leicester/Leicester HT/FT.
