Juventus v Roma Betting Tips

Betting Tips by The Set Pieces

A bumper clash in Serie A sees league leaders and champions Juventus host Roma, who currently sit in 2nd, four points off the pace. Juve have won 13 of their 16 games so far while Roma have managed 11 victories, including impressive wins over Milan and Lazio in their last two games and with Edin Dzeko in excellent form having netted 12 times already, Spalletti’s side look the ones to run Juve closest.

Juve have now remarkably won their last 24 games at home but though 13 of the 16 victories last term were without conceding, they’ve managed just two clean sheets in the eight wins this season. They’ve won all nine of their home games against fellow top-five teams since the start of last term but they conceded in five of these and were level at the break in the five of these that were since the start of last season.

Roma have won at Napoli and Lazio this term and have in fact won four of their last seven trips to top-five sides and only trailed at the break in three of their 10 visits since 2014/15. Juve’s home record is of course spectacular but we’re not particularly keen on backing them at 1.75 and instead we’re going to back the half-time draw, while we’d advise those wanting to get the hosts on-side to back Draw/Juve (half-time/full-time) at 4.75 rather than taking the 1.75.

Recommendation: Half Time Draw at 2.3
