Inter Milan v Pescara
15:00
Inter continued their impressive start to life under Stefano Pioli as their 1-0 win at Palermo was their sixth on the bounce and they’ll expect to make it seven here. They host bottom of the league Pescara, who are still searching for their first proper win of the season (they were awarded a 0-3 victory at Sassuolo despite in fact losing the game 2-1 after their hosts fielded an ineligible player).
Inter have moved up from 12th to 5th in the space of nine games under Pioli and they’re now just five points off Napoli in 3rd. They’ve won their last six at the San Siro, keeping three clean sheets, to go with a victory over league leaders Juve earlier on in the season. They’ve won seven of nine unbeaten home games against bottom-six opposition since the start of last term, scoring at least three goals in over half these games.
Pescara have managed draws at fellow bottom-six sides Genoa and Palermo, but they’ve lost their other seven road games. They’ve found the net in their last four away, including at Roma and Napoli, but their top scorer Gianluca Caprari is suspended and with Inter improving defensively in recent weeks with clean sheets in four of their last six, we’re backing them to win to nil.
