Ingolstadt remain down in 17th and with little hope of remaining in the division after losing five of their last seven. Mainz are 12th, despite also losing four of their last seven in what’s been a disappointing season after they finished up in 6th last term.
Ingolstadt have won only two of their 12 home games this term, losing seven of their matches at Audi Sportpark. They’ve kept just one home clean sheet all season and have in fact conceded at least twice in four of their last five at home so they’re certainly not a side that we want to be backing at 2.25.
The reason that they’re as short as that is because Mainz have lost seven of their last eight on the road. However, they’ve had some tough fixtures in that time as they’ve gone to four of the current top-seven and their away record at sides outside the top-10 is a decent W3-D1-L1. They won at both the bottom two last term and with that in mind they look a big price at 3.4 to get back to winning ways on the road.
