Everton v Hull City
15:00 - 18/3/2017 - Goodison Park, Liverpool
Everton’s loss at Spurs was soon forgotten after they dismantled West Brom 3-0 last time out, leaving them with plenty of daylight between themselves in 7th and the Baggies in 8th. They’ve lost only one of their last 11, and will feel that they have little to fear from a Hull side winless in its last 13 on the road. Hull are 18th but only one point off Crystal Palace after their win over Swansea last weekend, and must go in search of an unlikely road win here to continue on the path to safety.
Everton have been excellent since the middle of the season in general, but their home form has been particularly impressive. They’ve won all five of their home games since their narrow loss to Liverpool, and apart from that derby defeat they’re unbeaten at Goodison Park, covering the -1 handicap in each of their five most recent victories. Hull have failed to get on the scoresheet in eight of their last 10 away games, and with a severely depleted squad we think they’ll struggle to score once again.
Everton have conceded the third-fewest goals at home in the league this season, and with the in-form Niasse ineligible to play for Hull against his parent club we can’t see where Hull’s goals are coming from given the current state of their squad. An Everton Win to Nil looks like a good option at 2.5.
