England v Lithuania
15:00
England were edged out 1-0 in their friendly in Germany on Wednesday night, but there were plenty of positives for Southgate’s men, with the likes of Alli and Lallana impressing in midfield. The Three Lions will expect to solidify their position at the top of Group F as they host Lithuania, who have five points from their four games and currently sit 4th in the group.
England have been dominant at Wembley in recent times, winning 14 of their last 16 there, with 11 of their victories without conceding. We have Lithuania ranked 97th in the world and England have won their last 13 at home to sides ranked outside the world’s top-50, keeping a clean sheet in 11 of these and with six of their victories by more than two goals.
Lithuania are winless in their last 14 away, failing to score in 11 of these, including 3-0 defeats in Russia and the Czech Republic as well as 4-0 defeats at Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia and England themselves during qualification for the Euros. The 3-0 and 4-0 correct scores are both of interest at 5.75 and 7.5 respectively, but we’re going to make England covering the -2 handicap our best bet.
